The Working Lunch kicked off for 2018 with a mentors-only workshop that brought together the core mentoring team to learn from an expert, and discuss their mentoring goals.
Corrie McLeod, CEO of Hello Espresso, gave an insightful talk about her mentoring experiences. Mentors reviewed their relevant mentee applications and discussed their individual experiences of formal and informal mentorship in games.
Ally McLean, Director of the program, had this to say:
“It’s been a long time coming, so we were thrilled to have everyone in the room together. Our key takeaways from this session really revolved around defining the value of mentoring. We boiled it down to three categories – Practical Pathways, Support & Belief, and Knowledge & Skills. I think I can speak for the whole team in saying we can’t wait to get started!”

The Working Lunch is made possible by sponsorship from Interactive Games & Entertainment Association (IGEA) and their members.
